How to connect your Instagram Business or Creator account

If you want to post on Instagram with Spreenity, you need a professional account: Business or Creator. The connection itself is short, but most often it is based on one of three trifles: the wrong account type, logging in to the wrong profile or mixing up Facebook and Instagram.

First, check your account type

Only a professional Instagram account works to connect. If you have a regular personal account, first switch it to Business or Creator in your Instagram settings.

You don't have to think long about which variant to choose. In practice, both types are supported, so the most important thing is simply that the account has a professional status.

How to prepare your account before merging

  • Log in to the correct Instagram account you really want to post from.
  • Go to your Instagram settings and make sure your account is set to Business or Creator.
  • If you manage multiple profiles, check your account name and avatar before connecting.
  • It's a good idea to close unnecessary browser sessions if you've previously logged in to another Instagram account.

This one minute check saves the most time. Most problems come not from the connection itself, but from the fact that the user is logged in to a different profile than he thinks.

How to connect Instagram step by step

  1. Log in to Spreenity and go to the "Accounts" tab.
  2. Click "Connect Instagram".
  3. Log in directly with your Instagram account.
  4. Confirm the connection and return to the panel.
  5. Check if you see the correct Instagram profile in your account list.

This connection works directly with Instagram. You can have Facebook Page connected separately to Facebook publishing, but it is not used to connect Instagram.

Business or Creator - what to choose

If you're wondering whether it's better to set Business or Creator, be practical. To connect to Spreenity, it is important that the account is professional, so choose the variant that is more convenient for you to use on a daily basis.

  • Business is often chosen by companies, brands and local businesses.
  • Creator is usually better suited to people building a personal brand or publishing under their own name.
  • If you already have a professional account and everything works, don't change the type just to link it.

What to do if the connection doesn't work

Check the basics first

If the connection doesn't go through, start with your account type and whether you're sure you're signed in to the correct Instagram profile. These are the two most common causes of problems.

  • Make sure your Instagram account status is Business or Creator, not private.
  • Log out of other Instagram accounts in your browser and try again.
  • If you were previously connected, refresh it or connect your account again.
  • Check if at the end of the process you see exactly the profile you want to have connected in the panel.

What to do next after successful connection

Once your account is connected, you can prepare a post from a photo or OLX ad, refine the description and hashtags, and then publish it immediately or schedule it for a specific date.

It's best to start with one simple test post. You will quickly see whether you are working on the right profile and whether the entire process is set exactly as you want.
